Russia’s Aleksandr Serebryakov won stage two and stage five, securing him the blue points jersey, while Aldo Ilesic won stage three and also finished sixth overall. All three victories came thanks to impressive teamwork from the Team Type 1 – Sanofi riders and superb finishing sprints from Serebryakov and Ilesic.

They won riding their Colnago M10 and Colnago C59 Italia carbon fibre race bikes.

Team Type 1-Sanofi General Manager Vassili Davidenko welcomed the latest for the team and pointed to a long list of success during the 2012 season.

“Serebryakov is a great talent and a fast finisher. He has the potential to become one of the great sprinters of cycling, Davidenko said.

“With his two wins at the Tour of China this year, plus a string of achievements by the whole team stretching back to February, it is very satisfying to have so many good results from so many different riders. Already in 2012 we have 12 victories and more than 60 podiums, all from nearly a dozen people. We are exceptionally proud of the hard work and effort that has paid off so well this year.”
