Ghisallo, the bust of Fiorenzo Magni unveiled

Fiorenzo Magni has returned to his home, with the eyes turned towards the Ghisallo Sanctuary and behind the lake and mountains. A few steps from the door of the Museum, almost as if to shake hands with those who enter it, as he did in life. On the Colle del Ghisallo the bust dedicated to the “Lion of Flanders” was donated by Ernesto Colnago, linked by a great friendship with Fiorenzo. Also present were the daughters of the great champion, Beatrice and Tiziana. Magni was the creator, soul and inspiration of the Cycling Museum, which stands next to the historic church.

Present was the mayor of Magreglio Danilo Bianchi, the president of the Fondazione Museo del Ghisallo Antonio Molteni, the museum director Carola Gentilini, Ernesto Colnago, some cycling champions and Riccardo Guasco, illustrator of the “Gazzetta dello Sport”. The priest of Magreglio Don Giovanni Giovannoni dealt with the blessing of the bust.
