Colnago unveils its 2013 bike collection

Colnago is pleased to unveil our col­lec­tion of 2013 bikes via our new website.

Ernesto Colnago has always been an inven­tor and an inno­va­tor, and for 2013 he has again looked beyond the lim­i­ta­tions of cur­rent bike designs to cre­ate a series of new bikes. The 2013 col­lec­tion includes new designs and color schemes across the whole Colnago range.

Colnago was the first major bike pro­ducer to cre­ate disc brake road bikes and the rev­o­lu­tion­ary Colnago C59 Disc with hydraulic disc brakes marks the start of a new era in high per­for­mance road bike brak­ing. The frame and forks have been spe­cially designed to cope with the increased loads disc brakes cre­ate; yet the bike is aes­thet­i­cally beau­ti­ful and light. Colnago has also designed a disc brake spe­cific wheel set called Artemis Disc that has hubs designed for disc brakes and full car­bon com­pos­ite rims.

The C59 Italia is epony­mous of Colnago design and qual­ity. For 2013 the C59 Italia is avail­able in stun­ning new col­ors, includ­ing a Maserati inspired blue, matt green and the more clas­sic white and azzurro. Black and white Team Edition ver­sions will also be avail­able, with Team Europcar using the black C59 Italia Team Edition bike in the Tour de France.

Colnago has also cre­ated its first ever women’s range of bikes called CLD. They have been inspired by and built with women’s spe­cific per­for­mance geom­e­try.  The top tube is shorter and the com­po­nents have been care­fully selected for women’s needs.

Ernesto Colnago cel­e­brated his eight­i­eth birth­day in February and we are cel­e­brat­ing the cre­ation of the iconic Master steel frame by cre­at­ing the Colnago Master 30th for 2013. The frame is made with the same star-shaped tubes, chrome lugs and stun­ning col­ors as the orig­i­nal Master.

The 2013 Colnago col­lec­tion also includes the rac­ing ori­ented CX1 EVO, the totally redesigned CLX 3.0 and the Ace road bikes. The K.Zero time trial bike is already turn­ing heads and set­ting fast time in time tri­als thanks to its aero­dy­nam­ics, while the world cham­pion Prestige and World Cup cyclocross bikes are both avail­able with disc brakes for 2013.
