Objective accomplished: the V3Rs won 2020 and 2021 Tour de France, 2 monuments and almost 100 hundreds victories.
Completely new and redesigned, the V3Rs fork is much lighter compared to that of the V2-r. Its raw weight (uncut) corresponds to 390 grams, TFS integrated steerer thread included. In a 50s size, which we can consider an average size, the cut fork can weigh just 340 grams. The new shape with concave sheaths in the upper part (front view) optimizes the wheel passage allowing the use of wide tyres (28c), along with comfort and lateral rigidity.
To reach a new weight target of 790 grams we used a new type of carbon fibre that allowed Colnago to significantly increase the rigidity to lateral flexions. The new V3Rs has a 12% higher rigidity in the rear compartment .
While retaining some details from the two frames that preceded it, V1-r and V2-r, the V3Rs design has profoundly changed to align with some standards that have been consolidated in recent years, not least the possibility of mounting larger tyres – up to 28 inches. It’s extremely clean and boasts excellent aerodynamic qualities together with an unprecedented lightness. V3Rs is available in eight sizes from 42s through to 58s and in two versions, direct mount rim brakes and disc brakes
Campagnolo Bora Ultra WTO "Bora Ultra WTO wheels embody what Campagnolo is all about: maximum expression of the use of carbon, R&D of structure and aerodynamics and painstaking attention to detail.
Performance, quality and looks: all taken to the next level.
Zipp’s 303 Firecrest® Tubeless Disc-brake wheelset is designed for the real world… a world of imperfect conditions, road surfaces, and elements where the bottom line is simple. Efficiency = speed. It’s faster, lighter, and more capable over varied terrain—whether the surface is pavement in all its conditions or no pavement at all. Deeply rooted in Zipp’s drive to conquer the Spring Classics, the new 303 Firecrest is remade with a purpose-made approach for the demands of modern road bikes.
The all-rounder of the new DURA-ACE wheel lineup, the C50 is both lighter than the previous C40 model and nearly as aerodynamic as the previous C60. It's a wheelset at home in a wide range of conditions
The pinnacle of Shimano road technology and innovation, the new 12-speed R9200 DURA-ACE is our fastest, most inspired drivetrains ever. Speed was the driving force behind the new generation of road groups, and every decision our designers made was to make you faster.
SRAM RED eTap AXS offers wider range and closer progression, so you’re always in the right gear. A quiet, secure and smooth ride, whatever the terrain. A system that does exactly what you want, when you want. And it’s still wireless.
The revolutionary Di2 shifting system solves the challenges drivetrains present to the power-delivery equation in cycling. Di2 gives you instant, accurate, lighting-fast shifts the first and every time, at the push of a button
Campagnolo has always been a pioneer in innovation for racing bike transmission and now continues its research with the aim of constantly improving the cycling experience. The Super Record electronic groupset, considered a benchmark for its performance and reliability, is now available in a 12-speed version.
To reach a new weight target of 790 grams for the size 50s in the raw disc version (including the metal components) we used a new type of carbon fibre that allowed Colnago to significantly increase the rigidity to lateral flexions. The new V3Rs, compared to the V2-r, has a 12% higher rigidity in the rear compartment and 6% in the front head tube area. The ability to absorb vertical shocks has improved significantly, which translates into greater comfort.
Much of the effort has been concentrated in this area of the frame, both to reduce the overall weight of the locking system and to increase its functionality, power and safety. The new locking system is therefore smaller if compared to that of the V2-r and C64, integrated into the frame and allows a greater modulation in tightening.
While the rim brake version is based on the use of dual pivot brakes with direct mounting and external cable routing, the disc version uses the exclusive TFS Integrated fork system. The cables pass entirely, internally to the Colnago Sr9 stem and then through the fork steerer. The frame is thus extremely clean and technically more aerodynamic.
