C64 - THE FUTURE IN ADVANCE
2018 – After more than 2 years of research, the continuity of the C60 project arrives: the C64. A true technological reference point that, with its even more advanced features, anticipates the future of high-end bicycles.
2014 – C60 is launched in the 60th anniversary of the company. The carbon fiber tubes and lugs have a star section, to take the shape introduced with the Master, the steel frame; the walls are thinner and the structure lighter, rigid and resistant.
THE FIRST RACING BIKE
WITH DISC BRAKES
2012 – The C59 disc is presented at the Taipei show. It is the first bike with disc brakes on road. Fork and rear triangle have been redesigned to support the load generated by the discs. The total weight is only 150 grams more than the traditional model.
CARBON FUORISERIE
A special dedication to the Ferrari’s legend comes at the beginning of the new millennium with the CF1 model, a “custom-built” with monocoque frame and carbon fork: total weight only 7 kg, created by the experience and technology of two brands symbol of Made in Italy. Made in limited edition in 500 bikes, this is the first born of the Colnago for Ferrari project.

THE CARBON TRIUMPH
1994 – The Mapei-Colnago binomial will lead to countless and amazing successes with the greatest champions of the time for several years.
1995 – Franco Ballerini triumphs at Paris Roubaix riding a Colnago C40, the first carbon bike to win in such a tough and difficult race
1996 – 2000 – The C40 wins the Roubaix 4 more times, in addition to the World championship and the Giro d’Italia, proving once and for all the supremacy of the Colnago construction quality.

1986 – The collaboration with Ferrari is born. A partnership that for 30 years combines ideas, technology and art. The creative genius and technological evolution of the two historic brands bring Colnago into the future.
1987 – The Concept is created, the first full carbon bike and straight fork, so advanced and revolutionary that it will never find production.
1989 – On the occasion of the 35th anniversary, from the experience gained with the Concept project, the C35 is born, the world’s first commercialized full carbon fiber bicycle. To date one of the biggest flagships of the Colnago house.
THE "MASTER" OF THE STEEL
1983 – A high-quality and revolutionary steel frame, the result of Colnago’s long experience in welding and using lugs: Colnago Master is born. A historical innovation: the star section of cold drawn tubes signed Gilberto Colombo.

IN THE WORLD OF PRO RACING
1974 – After providing frames for several professional teams for years, with the sponsorship of Scic by G.B. Baronchelli the ace of flowers acquires the visibility it deserves by appearing on bicycles and bibs.
THE TIME OF RECORD
1972 – For the Eddy Merckx’s Hour Record, Colnago specifically created a steel frame with a hand-knit chain, the result of 200 hours of work and weighing just 5 kg and 750 grams.
THE ACE OF FLOWERS IS BORN
1970 – Commenting on Michele Dancelli’s victory at Milano Sanremo, Bruno Raschi an italian journalist suggests to Ernesto Colnago to adopt an ace of flowers as a logo for his bicycles. Since then, this symbol has become the hallmark of the company.

1954 – The entrepreneurial adventure of Colnago is born. It is the meeting with Fiorenzo Magni that brings young Ernesto into the racing world. These are the years of heroic cycling, years in which Colnago travels, learns, knows and acquires a wealth of unique knowledge.
