Colnago’s Ice & Fire V3Rs, the bike Tadej Pogacar will use in the upcoming Road World Championships in Flanders, will be the first racing bike in the world to integrate blockchain technology. Pogacar’s V3Rs, in fact, will have a Tag applied to the frame (photo on the side) which allows its ownership to be uniquely identified through a virtual register. The Tag becomes the real electronic passport for the bicycle and creates an even stronger bond between brand and customer.
Another extremely important and unique detail is the paint job, called Ice & Fire, proposed and created by the Slovenian Champion himself in his designing debut. The word Ice represents the temperature of his thoughts when racing, the lucidity and determination needed to reach the goal. And fire, the burning in his legs that takes hold as he pushes hard on the pedals toward victory. The Colnago Ice & Fire V3Rs that raced on the roads of the World Championships, a unique piece of Colnago history, will be auctioned off in the future.
The bicycle is made on a Colnago V3Rs base, the light and aerodynamic top of the range monocoque frame, winner of two consecutive editions of the Tour de France as well as the oldest classic race of one day, the Liège-Bastogne-Liège. The bicycle is characterized by an assembly of absolute quality, which once again affirms the leadership of the Made in Italy product in the world.
