C68 GRAVEL
The frame is constructed from several carbon parts that are hand-assembled in Italy through joints and interlocks. The number of parts that complete the frame is the same as the previous C series (C64).
The carbon bands are applied manually at the joint between the carbon modules, after which they are filed and polished to achieve the look of a monocoque frame with the best Colnago modular frame properties.
The tradition of modular carbon frames began at Colnago in the early 1990s. Colnago was the first brand in cycling history to introduce carbon frames to professional teams, winning a technically demanding race like the Paris Roubaix with the legendary C40.
The smaller moulds of the individual modules allow us to work with greater care and obtain the highest quality carbon parts.
01.
Colnago takes great care in the construction of carbon parts, from moulds to laminations, demanding that its (Italian) suppliers adhere scrupulously to design requirements.
02
At Colnago's Cambiago site, tubes and joints are shaped, finished and glued to form frames of different sizes.
03
Most joints are masked through the application of thin carbon bandages, resulting in a smooth tube surface.
04
Painting is done strictly by hand using an airbrush. The aim is to achieve excellent quality without making the frame too heavy.
05
Even the final touch, the assembly of the components, is carried out strictly at our premises in Cambiago.
Register your Colnago C68 Gravel on the Colnago Blockchain. You will enjoy all the legal benefits of having the ownership of your bicycle registered on a secure system accessible to the authorities.
In addition, you will be able to prove the authenticity of the frame at any time, resell your Colnago more easily on the secondary market, certify any maintenance carried out, and report a theft making it unsaleable on the secondary market.
Finally, you get an extension of the warranty for an additional year over the statutory two-year warranty already provided with the bike.

The C68 Gravel is designed and handmade in Italy. Frame construction takes place in Cambiago, with assembly of the carbon tubes and joints, produced by an Italian supplier in Pordenone, while painting is done in Cascina. Finally, back in Cambiago, the components are assembled and the product is shipped to more than 160 countries worldwide.
Although both models are top-of-the-line carbon gravel bikes there are big differences. The frame construction technique of the G3-X is monocoque; the C68 Gravel is a modular frame composed of several interlocking parts.
The philosophy is also radically different: the G3-X is the gravel evolution of the V3Rs, a bike designed and optimised for competitive and fast gravel riders. More rigid and with a lower tyre width, it is suitable for different types of racing environments, from cyclocross to UCI championship gravel races.
The C68 Gravel, on the other hand, is designed for maximum riding pleasure: a snappy and responsive bike that calls for speed, with the perfect balance that a gravel bike should have between enjoyment and performance.
The main differences between the C68 Gravel and C68 Allroad lie in the uses for which they are designed. The C68 Gravel is a pure gravel bike, capable of tackling even moderately difficult single tracks and stony sections thanks to the increased maximum tyre width - 42 mm for the C68 Gravel compared to 35 mm for the C68 Allroad - and geometries that are more suitable for gravel - the C68 Gravel in fact has a longer reach than its Allroad sibling, as well as a longer wheelbase. The C68 Allroad, on the other hand, is perfect for mixed-use occasions where most of the pedalling time is on asphalt, but with frequent long stretches of light gravel.
The size of the C68 Gravel, like every Colnago, is measured in cm and represents the length of the seat tube. The size is also indicated on the serial number, located under the water bottle between the two rivets. Colnago sizing does not follow the same logic as other manufacturers. We advise you to refer to the geometry table above.
To register your C68 Gravel warranty you need to log into the Colnago app, register your account and register ownership of your bike via blockchain. Follow the steps in the app or consult the appropriate page. [warranty]
The C68's statutory warranty lasts 2 years. If you register your bike within 30 days of purchase, you can get the Colnago 3-Year Warranty. Follow the instructions at this link.
Pay close attention. Colnago urges you not to do this yourself, but instead to seek the expert help of a Colnago dealer. If you want to know how to install the Colnago CC.01 handlebar, download the guide above.
In the C68 the serial number is located below the bottle cage on the down tube, in between the two rivets. To read it you can scan the qr code
At the moment it is not possible to have a C68 Road in a custom colour; you can only choose one of the standard colours. Before the end of 2024 we will also unlock custom paints for the C68 Gravel. At that point, all you need to do is go to the bike configurator, customise it, and finally add the bike to your cart.
To register your bike on the blockchain you need to access the Colnago app, register your account and register the ownership of your bike by writing it on the blockchain. Follow the steps in the app or consult the appropriate page.
Of course. You can change the tyres on your C68 Gravel and turn it into an outstanding road bike. Colnago's racing and road racing soul is also reflected in this.
The C68 Gravel can be used in UCI gravel events. It can also be used for events such as Granfondo, Challenge and other amateur races. It is not officially registered with the UCI for use in professional road competitions.
The C68 Gravel is designed to withstand greater knocks and shocks than its Road and Allroad siblings, but Colnago recommends absolute caution when choosing routes. The C68 Gravel has the limitations of a carbon gravel bike without suspension systems. Ramps, jumps and rock gardens should be avoided at all costs. Colnago is not liable for damages resulting from incorrect and careless handling of the product. Colnago reminds us that 'portage' is part of the fun of the gravel experience and there is nothing wrong with doing it.
This bike is designed for gravel trails such as: dirt roads, farm roads, gravel trails, non-technical stony trails (Colnago recommends absolutely avoiding rock gardens, jumps, descents with excessive gradients). Colnago reminds us that 'portage' is part of the fun of the gravel experience and there is nothing wrong with doing it.
