Improved compliance and wider tires (up to 35mm)
Comfort and control are enhanced through improved vibration absorption and increased grip. A redesigned rear triangle and seat area improve compliance, while wider tire clearance allows for larger tires — reducing road vibrations and enhancing traction, especially on longer or rougher rides.

The C72 proudly continues the tradition of the modular frame
The frame is constructed from several carbon parts that are hand-assembled in Italy through joints and interlocks. The number of parts that complete the frame, i.e. 7, is the same as the previous C model

The tradition of modular carbon frames began at Colnago in the early 1990s. Colnago was the first brand in cycling history to introduce carbon frames to professional teams, winning a technically demanding race like the Paris Roubaix with the legendary C40.

The C72 Road is designed and handmade in Italy. Frame construction takes place in Cambiago, with assembly of the carbon tubes and joints, produced by an Italian supplier in Pordenone, while painting is done in Cascina. Finally, back in Cambiago, the components are assembled and the product is shipped to more than 160 countries worldwide.
Although both models are top-of-the-range carbon racing bikes with very similar geometries, there are big differences. The construction technique of the V5Rs frame is monocoque; the C72 is a modular frame composed of several interlocking parts. The philosophy is also radically different: the V5Rs is a bike designed and optimised for use by professional racers. More rigid and lighter, it suits highly powerful racers with extremely flexible muscles and joints. The C72, on the other hand, is designed for maximum riding pleasure: a snappy and responsive bike that calls for speed, with the perfect balance that a racing bike should have between enjoyment and performance.
The size of the C72 Road, like every Colnago, is measured in cm and represents the length of the seat post. The size is also indicated on the serial number, located under the water bottle between the two rivets. Colnago sizing does not follow the same logic as other manufacturers. We advise you to refer to the geometry table above.
To register your C72 warranty you need to log into the Colnago app, register your account and register ownership of your bike via blockchain. Follow the steps in the app or consult the appropriate page.
The C68's statutory warranty lasts 2 years. If you register your bike within 30 days of purchase, you can get the Colnago 3-Year Warranty. Follow the instructions at this link.

In the C72 the serial number is located below the bottle cage on the down tube, in between the two rivets. To read it you can scan the qr code.

At Colnago we do not use the 'endurance' category. If by endurance bikes you mean bikes with more relaxed and slower geometries, then the C72 Road is not an endurance bike. The C72 Road is a bike with racing geometry that suits riders looking for speed without compromising on prestige and style.
Yes, of course. The C72 Road has been homologated with the UCI stamp and can carry out those races organised by the UCI for which homologation is required.
The CC.01 Wide handlebar is not standard on this bike, but can be ordered separately from your dealer and is compatible.
